Children's Ministry
blocks.jpg (3054 bytes)Nursery:   During our Sunday morning worship service, a group of loving volunteer workers care for children ranging in ages from new born to two years old.  The nursery facility is set up with cribs, a changing table, toys and all the other materials needed to ensure your child receives the tender loving care he or she so richly deserves.

Children:   During our Sunday morning worship service, children ranging in ages from three to twelve are taught about Jesus Christ.  Volunteer workers also provide them with a wholesome, caring environment while you worship in the sanctuary.  To create the most effective learning environment possible, the children are divided into two classes, one for three to five year olds and the other for six to twelve year olds.

Deborah's Women (Women's Ministry)

Deborah's Women is an interactive Bible study that meets on the second Saturday of each month.  This study is a time for women to gather for prayer, fellowship, friendship, learning practical life skills from God's Word, and sharing from the heart.  Through the use of Biblical principles, women are empowered and equipped to consistently win in the battles of life.

Each year Deborah's Women participates with Renewed Woman, Inc., an outreach ministry, which also ministers to the "whole woman...spirit, soul, and body," at its annual conference.  This conference, which is held at a local hotel each fall, draws women from around the country to hear dynamic, anointed, powerful teaching in the Presence of the Lord.

For more information about Deborah's Women, please contact the church.  For more information about Renewed Woman, Inc., visit the Renewed Woman web site.

The God Chasers (Men's Ministry)
This group of men gathers to fellowship, learn, worship together and share in the Lord.  Meetings have ranged from worship and Bible study to a hike into the hills of New Jersey.  Regardless of the activity, these meetings are a great time to make good friends and become part of a meaningful fellowship.
The Love Bank (Benevolence Ministry)
The Love Bank is our effort to help the "widows and orphans" here at Word of Life.  Members of the church who are going through a difficult time financially are given help with money and food in times of special need.
Spanish Ministry

Due to the cultural diversity of our community and congregation, we have services in Spanish on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m.  The Spanish service is similar in format to our English worship services.

The translation of sermons into Spanish is also offered at our service at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.  The translation is performed simultaneously as the sermons are preached in English, and Spanish-speaking attendees listen to the translation on headsets.  This translation service can be especially beneficial for families that would like to attend church together even though all the family members do not understand English well.  To receive translation, simply ask one of the ushers in the back of the church for a translation headset.

Tape Ministry
Tape Ministry members use the church’s taping equipment to record the messages given on Sundays and Wednesdays.  These volunteers also sell the tapes after each church service.  To cover costs, tapes are sold for $3.00 each.
Ushers' Ministry
Ushers are the first people our guests encounter when they enter Word of Life.  These volunteers greet people at the door and give visitor packets to first-time attendees.  They also ensure that our guests are comfortable and inform them about our church facilities and style of worship.  Ushers collect and pray over tithes and offerings during church services.  In addition, ushers help maintain order during services in such ways as ensuring that people proceed in an organized fashion when they go to the front of the church for special prayer.
Worship Team
The worship team helps lead the congregation into God's Presence at both Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services.  The worship team also preaches the gospel through theatrical performances at Christmas and Easter.

Worship team practice is held once a week on Monday evening.
If you have been faithfully attending Word of Life for at least three months and believe God has called you to minister in music, dance, banners, or drama, you are encouraged to audition for this ministry.  As this ministry would not be as effective without the worship team's sound crew, you are also encouraged to join this ministry if you would like to help operate the sound system.  You do not need experience as a sound technician, as volunteers are trained on the equipment.
